CAR FINANCE, MADE CLEAR
Compare new-car and pre-owned-car finance separately, understand how each option is valued, and see the monthly cost before you commit.
Rate reference checked September 2026. Used-car and loan-against-car pricing is usually higher and depends on vehicle age, valuation and applicant profile.
THE PRODUCT, PLAINLY
Car finance is not one-size-fits-all. A new-car loan is assessed against the dealer invoice and eligible on-road cost, while a pre-owned-car loan is based on the lender's independent valuation, vehicle age, model and condition.
The original guide highlights funding against a car of up to 150% of assessed valuation under select lender programmes. That is not a universal LTV promise: the sanctioned amount depends on vehicle condition, age, model, ownership and repayment capacity.
A secured vehicle facility can price below an unsecured personal loan, but compare the processing fee, hypothecation, foreclosure rules and total payable—not only the headline ROI.
